Dr. Jude Kwaku Bonsu

He is a Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from KNUST, an MSc(Eng) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering (with a focus on Mathematical Modelling) from the University of the Witwatersrand.

His research interests include process integration, process control, process optimization, machine learning, sustainable process engineering, gasification, and green technologies.

Dr. Bonsu's teaching approach involves incorporating state-of-the-art software such as ASPEN Plus, Matlab, gPROMS, and GAMS to help students tackle complex engineering problems. He aims to inspire his students and encourages them to overcome limitations. He is also interested in collaborating with experimental scientists, computational chemical engineers, AI engineers, and computational chemists to enhance his research.

Special thanks to Dr. Jude Bonsu (Galileo) for his guidance, mentorship and support throughout the years. He is the reason most of us who are good at anything in the department are actually good. A man of innovation who goes the extra mile to ensure his students are people of relevance.

Martin E. Akpalu

He is a graduate from the department of Chemical engineering in KNUST

A hardworking man with a passion for what he does. Martin has been a great inspiration and help to many of us in the department of chemical engineering. Seeing how he is able to get so much done in so little time and how there is always so much quality in what he does has been a source of encouragement to us to also push ourselves.

When it comes to the various software and applications used, most of us owe a lot to Martin. Having partnered with Dr. Jude, he has made so much material for the Modelling Club of KNUST that has been used to pass down skills in many software (and he is still doing this).

A versatile individual who is proficient and excellent at everything he does. Thank you Martin for the inspiration.

To the students themselves

These are the people we toil for and they have been a massive support.

Offering advice, help when they can, criticisms and feedback, etc. They have kept us on our toes and have been instrumental in bringing us where we are.
